Stars out of 5:

John Platter: (English), January 2007

Stars out of 5:

****½ Le Sommet 03 - “Ambitious blend …Concentrated mulberry fruit, notes of roast beef, oak char, very dry, verging on austere, with some gruffness to tannins. Shd reward cellaring 5-7 years"

***** Mont du Toit 03 - “ Plush black velvet texture on 03, evidencing cab in big-boned, warm climate, generous mode; balanced tannic grip, shd unfold with ease. … imparts loads of spice. Deserves 4-6 yr wait.”

*** Hawequas 05 -“… took in some new seriousness. Gd oak showing, with cassis, ripe tannins…..”

***1/2 Les Coteaux 05 -“… pleasing fullness, in muscular style with family resemblance to cellarmates…”
